I began learning the piano as a young girl and carried my love of the art through my college years. Studying music was a pure delight and now I can pass this love down to future generations. It is my hearts' work and I find teaching to be very rewarding.
I would like the opportunity to set up a time to meet with you regarding piano lessons.
Each lesson is 30 to 45 minutes long and we have 2 recitals each year.
Please feel free to contact me for more information, or Like Us on Facebook and we will get in touch with you.
Music Around the World
Although Valley Center, CA is my home, I remember a significant trip I took in the autumn a few years ago. I visited Bardi, Italy. It is a remote mountain village in northern Italy and as you can see by the photograph it is just breathtaking.
I was awakened each morning at 6 AM by the church bells ringing Ave Maria. Of course the Sunday version was extended and absolutely awesome. I mentioned to a neighbor how wonderful I thought the bells were and she replied that she no longer even heard them. She had become so accustomed to then she no longer listened. She vowed to start enjoying them again and to not take for granted this lovely custom of her town.
I realized that we too, here in our city, sometimes take for granted the honored privilege of learning music. The benefits far outweigh the sometimes mundane art of practicing. The piano student learns to be patient and enjoy the feeling they get when they stick with something until it is accomplished. Additionally, lovely music is provided in the home while students practice. . I urge parents of younger students to put into words that their children will understand, in time, the values of learning music through piano lessons. I have heard time and time again the stories from people who regret quitting piano lessons, but have never heard regrets for continuing piano lessons.
